Mac Pro (M2 Ultra)

The Mac Pro M2 Ultra, introduced in 2023, was Apple’s most powerful workstation until the M4 Max and more recently the M3 Ultra found in the Apple Studio.

The tower chassis  features the M2 Ultra chip, which boasts a 24-core CPU with 16 performance cores and 8 efficiency cores, along with a 60-core GPU (configurable up to 76 cores) and a 32-core Neural Engine. The chip delivers an impressive 800GB/s of memory bandwidth and supports up to 192GB of unified memory. This powerhouse is designed for demanding professional workflows, capable of handling up to 22 streams of 8K ProRes video simultaneously.

This Mac Pro offers extensive connectivity options, including eight Thunderbolt 4 ports, dual 10 Gigabit Ethernet ports, and support for up to eight 4K displays or three 8K displays. In benchmark tests, it achieves a single-core score of 2,700+ and a multi-core score of 21,000+ in Geekbench 6, showcasing its performance capabilities.
